What a party! A good 200,000 visitors flocked to Boystown, Chicago’s trendy neighborhood, last weekend to celebrate the Northalsted Market Days.
Market Days is the largest LGBT street festival in the Midwest since 1980. The event is known for the performances of numerous live acts on a total of four stages. Betty Who, MAX, Todrick Hall and Kristine W among others performed this year.
Illinois Office of Tourism also took the opportunity to present an art installation by Chicago-based artist Matthew Hoffman. The wooden sculpture reads #amazingforall. With this hashtag the state woos LGBT travellers from all over the world.
