Hong Kong celebrate its Pride on November 9th.
The merry-go-round of gay events at the end of the year moves faster than the outdoor escalators on Cochrane Street. The local Pride Parade romp from Victoria Park to Tamar Park on November 9th. Dress code is “Hot Red”. Because red is the first color of the rainbow and symbolises life. And love. The Pride’s motto is: “We stand for love, we stand for LGBT”. The same applies to Hong Kong Lesbian & Gay Film Festival, which begins three weeks later and is considered the cultural peak of the homo year in Hong Kong.
