The beachfront villas are entirely new &#8211; the 120 square metre units have their own pool and are located directly on the beach.<\/p>\n<p>The Hayman Island Resort belongs to the &#8220;Leading Hotels of the World&#8221;, is a member of &#8220;Gay and Lesbian Tourism Australia&#8221; and offers a large spa, two huge pools and a wine cellar as well as four different restaurants. The &#8220;Azure&#8221; and the &#8220;Fontaine&#8221;, where guests can dine al fresco in the future, have also been redesigned. The 210 rooms, suites and penthouses extend over two buildings.<\/p>\n<p>Visitors access Hayman Island by helicopter, by seaplane or by Hayman&#8217;s own luxury yacht from Hamilton Island. The island is also linked Proserpine and Shute Harbour by boat.<\/p>\n<p>Hayman Island is the northernmost island of the Whitsundays, a popular group of islands off\u00a0 the Queensland coast. The Australian aviation pioneer and millionaire Reginald Ansett bought the 294-hectare island in 1947 and built a five-star hotel here.<\/p>\n<p>The long, fine sandy beaches lined with palm trees are among the most beautiful beaches Australia has to offer. Hiking enthusiasts can explore the mountainous island on paved trails. The Great Barrier Reef is on your doorstep. The largest reef in the world invites you to snorkel, dive or do water sports. Visitors in the months of June to September may be lucky to spot whales.
