Clothing is optional &#8211; many people go skinny-dipping here, as a large forest protects from views from the street. Nevertheless, be careful: there can be fines in Italy for skinny-dipping, even if nobody really cares.<br \/>\nThe gay section is located in the middle between heterosexual parts of the approximately 1.1 km long sandy beach. The atmosphere is friendly and everyone is welcome.<br \/>\nThe beach is about 45 minutes by car from the next big city Taranto. The small city Commenda, however, is very close by.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><strong>2. San Cataldo \/ Le Cesine<\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>San Cataldo is a marina that was built out of an ancient port &#8211; if you look closely you can still see traces of the old times in ancient marble columns. Both at the destination and at the roadside you will be rewarded by the beautiful nature of Italy and a breathtaking view.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>4. Punta della Suina \/ Gallipoli<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In the beautiful region of Salento is the city of Gallipoli &#8211; a kind of new gay centre of Puglia with bars and parties. Every year in August, a Pride is held here.<br \/>\nA gay hotspot by the sea can be found at Punta della Suina, with a direct view of the bay of Gallipoli. Twenty minutes away is a beautiful beach at Porto Selvaggio &#8211; with natural, wooded surroundings.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2>Lazio \/ Rome<\/h2>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>1. It is about 40 minutes by car from Rome &#8211; it can also be reached by train and bus. It is a natural beach, remote and therefore very quiet. There are no shops or kiosks here, so you better bring everything you need for a day on the beach.<br \/>\nThere are gays of all ages, tourists and locals &#8211; some wear swimwear, others don&#8217;t.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2>Tuscany<\/h2>\n<p><strong>1. Lecciona Beach is situated in the natural park of Migliarino, San Rossore and Massaciuccoli.<br \/>\nThe beach is very popular with gays. On summer weekends the beach is very busy, but during the week it is mostly quiet.<br \/>\nFrom Florence it takes about one and a half hours by car &#8211; but the day trip is worth it! The nearby city of Lucca is about 20 minutes away by car.<\/p>\n<p><strong>2. Sassoscritto Beach<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Close to the port city of Livorno on the west coast of Italy you will find the beach Spiaggia di Sassoscritto. It covers the area on the north side of the Calignaia bridge. The beach is very popular with nudists, but despite the rather rocky subsoil, there are also many sun worshippers who enjoy the peace and quiet. The public is mixed, but there is usually a high number of gays here.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2>Friuli-Venezia Giulia<\/h2>\n<p><strong>1. Beach Barbari Coast \/ Sistiana<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Barbari is completely surrounded by nature and offers plenty of privacy with many trees and bushes. There are several steep paths from the parking lot down to the sea. It is a picturesque, beautiful beach and therefore a great setting for making acquaintances or relaxing.<br \/>\nThe beach is located in northern Italy in the Friuli Venezia Giulia region, which borders Slovenia. The beach is therefore often visited by many gays from Slovenia, Croatia and Austria. From Trieste it is about 25 minutes by car, from the nearby town of Monfalcone it is 15 minutes. Nearby is the nudist beach Guvano Beach, which offers a gay\/straight mixed audience and crystal clear water.
