The founder and president of the organisation, which exclusively supports gay, lesbian and bisexual rights, is US political commentator, podcaster and author Peter Boykin.<\/p>\n<p>Boykin publicly stated that he favours &#8220;gays, lesbians, bisexuals and allies&#8221; and prefers to &#8220;drop the T&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;They have their own agenda. We can support that, but we must not allow them to interfere with what we have achieved. Really, I don&#8217;t think transgender people are gay&#8221;,<\/p>\n<p>Boykin said, according to Gay Star News.<\/p>\n<p>Gays for Trump have supported Donald Trump since the beginning of his political career. In 2016, the organisation hosted a &#8220;Wake Up!&#8221; party, and for the 2017 inauguration of Donald Trump as President of the United States, Gays for Trump hosted a party called the &#8220;Gays for Trump DeploraBall Gala&#8221;. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/CJu27qwF8mu\">https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/CJu27qwF8mu<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The organisation is said to have links to the alt-right movement. For example, Gays for Trump events are usually funded by Jeff Giesea, who in turn is known to support the alt-right movement.<\/p>\n<p>Members of Gays for Trump have also been present at right-wing populist political rallies and events in recent years. In July 2019, Peter Boykin gave a speech at the &#8220;Demand Free Speech&#8221; rally of the far-right organisation Proud Boys.
