With a new social media and marketing campaign, Marriott International is targeting gay, lesbian and transsexual guests in the USA. Under the hashtag #LoveTravels and its own website the stories of those people are told, who act as faces of the campaign. These include gay NBA player Jason Collins, transsexual fashion model Geena Rocero and gay couple Tosh and Carmine (photo). “Our goal is to strengthen, change and address our brands,” said Kristine Fred, Senior Director of Segment at Marriott International. “We have decided to launch a holistic campaign that truly celebrates inclusiveness and beautifully expresses our desire that people really feel comfortable in our hotels. In addition to the Marriott Hotels, the hotel group also comprises the Renaissance Hotels, JW Marriott, Courtyard and the luxurious Autograph Collection.<\/p>\n
