New York

Priscilla, Queen of the Desert
Australia’s most successful musical and one of the most colourful shows of the past decade can now also be enjoyed on Broadway since the end of March. At Palace Theatre, the three drag queens Mitzi, Bernadette and Felicia make their way through the Outback in their rickety bus called “Priscilla” to lots of disco songs. This musical highlight of spring.

Bike Month
Explore New York by bike – since more and more cycle paths have been created in recent years (for example along Broadway), the city has developed into a real cycling mecca. May is the official “Bike Month”, when numerous tours are offered, e.g. through Brooklyn, Queens or Liberty State Park. On May 17th, gay and lesbian cyclists meet for “Pumped for Pride Ride”. The destination is “Cloisters”, the Metropolitan Museum’s branch in Fort Tryon Park in northern Manhattan.

High Line Park
Since its opening, the park on a former elevated railway line has developed into one of New Yorkers’ most popular walks. The proximity to the West Village and the hip Meat Packing District provides plenty of opportunity for flirting. Now the second section up to 30th Street is opened. More space for spring fever.
