Almost mean: the daughter of US President Donald Trump is trying to compensate for her father’s failures in queer marketing – and all of Twitter is making fun of her. Oh Ivanka.

How do you manage to use the queer month of June for your marketing purposes without turning Republican homophobes against you? Ivanka Trump’s (38) attempt was already quite successful – apart from the countless users who made fun of her afterwards.

To herald the Pride month of June in the US, the president’s daughter posted a tweet in which she managed not to use a single word of the words gay, lesbian, bisexual, queer or transgender. Instead, she posted the contextually ignorant call “Less hate, more love” and hearts in five colours of the rainbow – yes, five. Blue was apparently off – either she is unfamiliar with the colors of the queer flag or her father forbade her to use the colour of the Democrats in an election year.

But this was not the end of the 38-year-old’s post crying out for tolerance. There was also a wonderfully irrelevant photo that proclaimed “Love” in seven blurry colours that have pretty much nothing to do with the rainbow flag. The whole thing was garnished with the hashtag #Pride2020. A real treat for Twitter users – after all, even Papa Trump’s “Covfefe” tweet had more meaning in comparison.
