An AirBerlin Airbus 330-200 will take off from Düsseldorf Airport at 14:30 hours under the motto “Help&Fly” for a 90-minute special service, its route the shape of Red Ribbon. A colourful supporting programme will be offered aboard, including the local celebrity Käthe Köstlich, who will accompany the event as in previous years. All artists as well as the crew work for charity on this day. Guests can enjoy the special flight also in the new Business Class for the first time.

The event is unique in Germany and a very special experience for the guests,” said Dr. Martina Niemann, Chief Human Resources Officer at Air Berlin.  Station Airport, the special event location of Düsseldorf Congress Sport & Event GmbH, is where the symbolic cheque with the amount donated will be handed over and a stage programme and tombola will take place after landing. The main prize of the tombola is a return flight to Cancun in Mexico for two people on Air Berlin, co-sponsored by Meier’s Weltreisen. The winners will stay in the five-star Hotel Paradisus La Perla in Playa del Carmen for a week with an all-inclusive service. The proceeds of Help & Fly will be donated in full to AIDS-Hilfe Düsseldorf e.V.. In recent years, a total of around 640,000 Euros has been raised for this good cause.
