Fuerteventura is one of the Canary Islands. If you are looking for gay nightlife, the island cannot compete with Gran Canaria or Tenerife. But that is not necessarily a bad thing – Fuerteventura is suitable for those who are more into nature, hiking and tranquillity. We have found two rural beaches where gays feel especially comfortable and where they can also make new friends.

1. Playa del Bajo Negro / Parque Natural de Corralejo

On the beaches of the coastal town of Corralejo you will find many sand dunes, rural ground, unspoiled nature, clear water and fantastic views. The Parque Natural de Corralejo is a national park protecting wildlife. The section at the huge, desert-like beach, where you can spot many gays, starts at the sign ’14km’. The section is about 600 meters long. Naked men between the dunes are usual occurrence. Some cruising takes place here at night.

2. Playa de Mal Nombre

The beach is located in the very south of the long island. Playa del Mal Nombre has clear water and a wide sandy beach. It is a quiet beach, right next to the popular beach Playa de Sotavento – from there a narrow path leads directly through the sand dunes to the more relaxed natural beach Playa de Mal Nombre. The beach is popular with gays – there is also some cruising going on.
