Via dei Servi 40 | Firenze

Mercato Centrale: two-level central market. Downstairs you can find the best of Tuscan food: home-made pasta, meat, fish, cold meat and cheeses and strange things you have probably never seen before (tripes and tongue, etc.). The upper level hosts a variety of stands where to taste the best of the Tuscan cuisine, mainly street food, but not only. There are vegetarian and vegan choices. You can also sample truffles or discover the offers of the excellent wine and beers stand . You can have a casual lunch here or to take your meals to your Florentine apartment. The best way to discover the lower level of the central market is by a guided tour offering wine and food tastings. https://www.mercatocentrale.it/

Villa Bardini: exclusive and unique view in a typical Italian style garden. Temporary exhibitions, a place of art and culture. A priceless place. https://www.villabardini.it/en/

Piazza SS. Annunziata, the church and the New Museo degli Innocenti: one of the most beautiful squares in Florence, but really not crowded. In addition to the church, dedicated to the Madonna, the new museum of the Innocents, opened 2 years ago and hosting 3 different exhibitions: history, art and architecture. https://www.museodeglinnocenti.it/en/percorsi-espositivi/

La Menagère: beautiful bar/restaurant where to have a delicious breakfast, a nice cup of tea with freshly made cakes, an aperitivo (small Italian tapas and great cocktails) or a lunch and dinner. http://www.lamenagere.it/

Il Locale: an upscale restaurant and cocktail bar, aperitive and dinner, very peculiar atmosphere. http://www.localefirenze.it/home-2/?lang=en

The Four Seasons Hotel Sunday brunch: only the one in Florence is famous for its brunch and people come from Rome and other cities especially for it, reserving months in advance (especially during festivities). € 75/person, really worth it. https://press.fourseasons.com/florence/hotel-news/2017/sunday-brunch/

Floret Artisan Kitchen & bar: a culinary lifestyle, brand new. Belongs to the popular clothes shop Luisa via Roma. https://www.floret-bar.com/

Colle Bereto lounge bar: restaurant and American bar, open every day from 8 am to 4 am. The right place to have a drink after dinner and meet interesting people. http://www.cafecollebereto.com/

Amblé: a cosy little place where to taste delicious fresh food (sandwiches, shakes and cakes) in a vintage atmosphere. http://amble.it/

Fishing Lab: fish restaurant, half portions for lunch (if you wish) so to taste many different things, take away. https://www.fishinglab.it/

Gay Pride Toscana: this year it will be held in Pisa (30 minutes away from Florence by train) on July 6th. https://www.toscanapride.eu/en/

Florence Queer Festival: LGBTIQ International festival of cinema, arts, literature and theatre. October 15-20 2019. https://www.florencequeerfestival.it/

Lesbian, gay and open-minded people parties: so many all year round! Some places you probably already know are: Mammamia, Full Up, Fabrik, WOW, etc.

Pitti Uomo fashion fairs: twice a year, January and June, traditionally on the second week of the month. I strongly discourage anybody to try coming in June because the fair sums up with the peak season and rates are unbelievably high with extremely low availability, with late bookers forced to sleep 20 or 30 km away from Florence to be able to attend the fair. But the one helding in January is affordable and has the same great parties as the one in June. They are all private parties, but we can easily find invitations for our Guests, at least to some of them.
