Not only wine connoisseurs find their way to Kamptal valley on the edge of Wachau, which is a good 45 minutes from Vienna by car. Designed by New York architect Steven Holl, the Wine&Spa-Resort Loisium, a member of “Design Hotels”, creates a futuristic counterpoint amidst the vineyards with its gleaming metal cube shape. The Aveda Spa offers four saunas, an outdoor pool, sun terrace and two vintage relax lounges with a panoramic view of the vineyards on an area of 1,000 square metres. The holistic treatment products for face and body are based on elements of Ayurvedic healing tradition with natural ingredients from grapes, flower and plant essences as well as grape seed oils.

This five-star hotel, 17 km south of Garmisch-Partenkirchen, offers plenty of spa luxury.
