Zürich

One could say that this how they are, the Swiss: Rather reserved and correct but capable of making fun about themselves that you simply have to like them. Anyone who takes Skymetro to terminal E at Zurich Airport will be surrounded by sounds of alphorn, ringing of cow bells and a long “Moooooo”. The only thing missing at this stage is a piece of chocolate offered to you. For this you have to board a SWISS flight.

70 destinations in 39 countries

SWISS connects ten German airports with over 70 destinations in 39 countries via its Zurich hub. A return flight from Germany to Zurich is available from 99 Euros, flights to other European destinations start at 149 Euros. Short transfer times, good service and special offers, e.g. to Los Angeles or San Francisco as well as good value for money make a flight via Zurich particularly pleasant.

Committed to Swiss values

As SWISS is Switzerland’s national carrier, it is committed to the values of its Alpine home country. Reliability is a core value, product and service quality are of paramount importance. Although much smaller than Lufthansa and belonging to Lufthansa Group, SWISS is always a few steps ahead with innovation and always reacting faster to customer demands.

With the implementation of a new Business Class cabin on all its Airbus A340 and A330 aircraft by September, SWISS can now offer the most state-of-the-art Business Class of all European airlines. SWISS was named “Best Airline for Europe” and “Best Airline for Flights to North and South America” at Business Traveller Awards in Frankfurt in January 2011. Its Business Class was also voted best on routes to North and South America.

Business Class

The new Business Class seat that can be converted into a lie-flat bed of 2 metre length will make this product a success. What most airlines only offer their First Class customersm SWISS offers its customers at lower fares. Any frequent users of Business Class know the feeling of gradually slipping off when sitting in seats that recline at a 160 or 170 degree angle. This will not happen in the new SWISS seat. The updated cabin layout also gives passengers more privacy: some of the seats are now mounted as single seats. USB and power socket and a 12.1-inch monitor are provided. The seat also has a docking station for iPhone or iPod so that personal content can be accessed in addition to the onboard entertainment system featuring 22 movies, 40 TV programmes and content of 300 CDs.
