Under the motto “A room for every kind of Valentine,” MEININGER Hotels are launching a Valentine’s Day promotion. At the heart of the campaign is Berlin-based drag queen Rachel Intervention. In a series of spots, she slips into the role of a MEININGER employee, sometimes at reception, sometimes in housekeeping and runs the Lonely Hearts Hotline with plenty of charm. With a wink, she dispenses love and relationship advice, addressing topics currently debated online, especially among younger generations, such as attachment issues, commitment problems, and situationships.

Beyond Valentine’s clichés

With the Lonely Hearts Hotline, the hotel brand shines a spotlight on everyone for whom 14 February is more than a classic couples’ holiday, breaking with traditional Valentine’s clichés. Instead of texting a (toxic) ex, the campaign encourages people to do something good for themselve, like taking a short getaway.

Couples are also catered to: while there’s no obligatory champagne delivered to the room, guests do get the best date tips for quality time that truly counts. And if things get a little tense along the way, that’s covered too: at MEININGER, the beds can easily be separated.
