The capital of the southern German state of Baden-Württemberg has over 600,000 inhabitants. There is no designated gay quarter, this simply means that the gay scene is not hiding, but is rather part of city life. There are many gay venues, especially around the town hall, but the rest of the city is not without. Stuttgart's oldest queer club, the King's Club, is an institution. Since 1977, it has offered gays a chance to meet, party and have a good time. Even Freddie Mercury has been a guest here. If that is not a reason to let your hair down in Stuttgart.
