Gay Guide Nijmegen

Nijmegen is noted as the oldest city in the Netherlands with a history going back more than 2000 years. Due to the dominant presence of the university and it's students it is one of the most freedom-loving Dutch cities politically and culturally. Gays and lesbians feel very much at home here, which can be seen in the state statistics as Nijmegen is only second to Amsterdam in the percentage of gay marriages per capita. A big party to always look forward to is the quarterly Kiss Kiss Club (https://kisskiss.nl/). But a good day to feel the gay vibe throughout the city is 'Roze Woensdag' (Pink Wednesday). The gay wednesday in the third week of July is the highlight of the week long Vierdaagse Summerfestival.
