Gay Guide Hamburg

Hamburg is the second largest city and the most important seaport of Germany. As a harbour metropolis it was formally as important as Rio de Janeiro, Shanghai and Cape Town, and the liberality of the Hanseatic city is deeply anchored in the city's history. Hamburg has two equally large gay centres. Saint Pauli is maybe the biggest red light district in Europe. In the midst of female prostitution and sex shops around the infamous Reeperbahn there is also a varied gay scene: ranging from the hotels with rent boy bars, cruising cinemas up to smart bars. Similarly the scene is mixed in Saint Georg: around the Lange Reihe one can find cafés, bars, the leather scene, sex shops, rent boy bars as well as the most attractive gay sauna in Hamburg.
