Gay Guide Monaco
In Monaco, gay sex is legal, the age of consent for all is 16. But gay couples do not have the same legal protection as heterosexual married couples. Gay couples are not allowed to adopt children, nor is a registered partnership or marriage between homosexuals possible. However, there is also no constitutional restriction on marriage. There are no LGBT organisations in Monaco. The general social attitude is rather open. Monaco bears the official name Principality of Monaco and is a sovereign city-state located on the French Riviera and borders with France on three sides. Gay life takes place in Monaco only to a very limited extent and can rather be found in the nearby coastal cities of France: Among them Nice and Marseille.
