Gay Guide Edinburgh - Lothian
Edinburgh is the capital city of Scotland. As well as being one of the most beautifully situated cities in the world it also has a relatively relaxed and tolerant atmosphere for LGBT life. The gay scene is mostly located in the Georgian New Town, on Broughton Street and at the top of Leith Walk near the Playhouse Theatre. One of the best months for sightseeing (the Castle, the Old Town, museums, galleries etc) is in August when the annual arts festival takes place.
