Gay Guide French Polynesia
The French laws on homosexuality apply here as well. The age of consent is 15 years for all. There are no gay initiatives but also no incidents of discrimination against homosexuals. The largest of the 115 islands of Polynesia is Tahiti. The capital Papeete has 30.000 inhabitants. The Tahitians are polite, open-minded and happy about any visitor who wants to discover the beauty of the islands.
