Gay Guide Portugal

Saunas in Portugal are not as common as one would expect, however, the relatively few saunas you find in Lisbon and Porto are clean and safe, even if they are not as large as some found in other cities of comparable size in Europe. Many saunas are busy after work (from about 18 to 21h) and those opening late are often quite busy between midnight and 4h. Most saunas are very popular on Sunday afternoons, especially off-season (i.e. when it's not beach weather!) It is very rare to find rent boys (prostitutes) working in the saunas so, if you do encounter one, he will certainly explain that he is for hire before he gets you too excited.
