The gay scene in Costa Rica is beginning to blossom. More recently saunas have become a place to visit and the time of raids and close-downs by the officials of the 90'ies is over. In San José, you can choose between two saunas. both of them are located in the city's small gay area (just south of Central Park) that caters to local and foreign visitors alike.
