Mer losse d’r Dom en Kölle (famous carnival slogan in Cologne, meaning ‘we leave the Cathedral in Cologne’) and give carnival in warmer weather a chance in the new year. Sitges near Barcelona is a little more traditional in costumes but no less exuberant and uninhibited in celebrations and at least as gay as Cologne. Great love as well as fast love are celebrated in Spanish wedding costumes at parades and parties until the grieving widows declare this season over. Just to rise the anticipation of the nearing beach season.
