The stage adaptation of the TV musical series, which is shown in Germany on Super RTL with respectable ratings, will be on stage in Manchester, London and Dublin for guest performances. The spectacle is not a tired copy à la “Dirty Dancing live on stage”, but takes the greatest hits and most beautiful moments of the series as a starting point for an independent concert homage.
“Bad Romance” is performed in Lady Gaga costumes and “Like a Prayer” supported by a gospel choir. But best of all: actors and characters are the same as on television. The gay characters Kurt and Blaine are also played by the original actors Chris Colfer and Darren Criss.
