Barranquilla
The carnival in the Colombian and Caribbean metropolis Barranquilla is considered one of the largest in the world. The weeks before the actual carnival are a big festival already. A special highlight takes place on the Saturday just before carnival. Guacherna Gay is the name of the colourful parade with which the local LGBTIQ* community celebrates Pride. Thousands of spectators line the streets and cheer. We present you the most beautiful photos of this unique event.
Colombia ranked 23rd in the Spartacus Gay Travel Index 2019 amongst other countries, such as Germany and Israel.
