The island state has thus become an alternative for winter escapees who find the homo hullabaloo in Gran Canaria too much. Here too, the climate is summery all year round, you can also climb volcanoes and you can also enjoy dream beaches. Cruising activities on Santa Maria Beach can’t compete with the dunes of Maspalomas, but there is peace and quiet – from homophobes as well as from annoying sex tourists.
