On the new homepage of Nevada Commission of Tourism (NCOT), gay holidaymakers can find out, i.a. in which hotels they are particularly welcome, which events take place and which tour operators specialise in excursions for gays.

The LGBT travel industry contributes about 60 billion Dollars to the US GDP per year. A large part of this sum is what tourists spend in Nevada. According to Community Marketing Inc. (CMI), Las Vegas is among the top three destinations for gays and lesbians. The new website is part of NCOT’s PR and marketing plan, which aims to attract more gay and lesbian tourists to the Silver State by various activities.

From August 4th to 7th , Las Vegas will be inviting gay tourists to its Gay Nights. Organisers are MGM Resorts International and its hotels. ARIA Resort & Casino, MGM Grand, Mandalay Bay, The Mirage, New York-New York, Luxor and Crystals in the city center welcome their guests with special events and offers. These include pool and nightclub parties and exclusive get-togethers with artists from Cirque du Soleil.
