The Pink Pavilion at the International Tourism Fair (ITB) in Berlin, the world’s largest travel fair, has been offering tips and ideas for your next gay vacation for eight years already. During the days open to the general public on 11 and 12 March 2017, visitors can obtain information about the latest trends directly from representatives of holiday resorts, travel providers and the media. Will this year’s ITB partner country Botswana also be represented there? I don’t think so. Botswana continues to penalise same-sex sex despite timid decriminalisation tendencies, so unfortunately it is not yet a pink destination.
