Documenta14

Until July 16, 2017, Athens is the second venue of the art spectacle Documenta, which is based in Kassel (Germany) and is held there every five years. Those who make it through the little user-friendly website can find exciting exhibitions and performances. Otherwise, you might stumble upon one of the many exhibition venues during a city stroll.

Athens Pride

On June 10th, 2017, Athens Pride starts at the central Syntagma Square, right in front of the Greek parliament. The queer community has been celebrating socio-political progress when same-sex couples could also apply for civil union starting two years ago. Athens is undoubtedly one of the most liberal cities in the country and offers a large gay scene.
