February, the month of love: All couples – explicitly also same-sex couples – that travel to Thailand in February will be most cordially welcomed. They may use Premium Fast Lane at Immigration at Bangkok’s Suvarnabhumi airport during the entire month of February. Couples can register at the “Amazing Thailand. Amazing Romance” counters upon arrival in Bangkok. Just jot down a few details for “Premium Lane” and then receive a pink heart-shaped sticker that entitles you to privileged entry. You also receive a small souvenir – a key ring with small Thai mascot “Sook Jai” (Happiness).
Thai Tourism Office TAT has been welcoming gay and lesbian tourists with a designated website in English since 2012. The country forermly called Siam has been one of the most popular gay destinations for many years. Thailand is known for its tolerance, besides tropical beaches in the south, dense jungle in the north and the lively metropolis of Bangkok. The informative and clearly structured website that gives an overview of the most important destinations like Bangkok, Chiang Mai, Phuket, Krabi, Koh Samui and Pattaya had been developed on initiative of TAT regional office in New York.
