Gays for Trump is a “queer” American organisation that supports Donald Trump and his administration. The founder and president of the organisation, which exclusively supports gay, lesbian and bisexual rights, is US political commentator, podcaster and author Peter Boykin.

Boykin publicly stated that he favours “gays, lesbians, bisexuals and allies” and prefers to “drop the T”.

“They have their own agenda. We can support that, but we must not allow them to interfere with what we have achieved. Really, I don’t think transgender people are gay”,

Boykin said, according to Gay Star News.

Gays for Trump have supported Donald Trump since the beginning of his political career. In 2016, the organisation hosted a “Wake Up!” party, and for the 2017 inauguration of Donald Trump as President of the United States, Gays for Trump hosted a party called the “Gays for Trump DeploraBall Gala”. https://www.instagram.com/p/CJu27qwF8mu

The organisation is said to have links to the alt-right movement. For example, Gays for Trump events are usually funded by Jeff Giesea, who in turn is known to support the alt-right movement.

Members of Gays for Trump have also been present at right-wing populist political rallies and events in recent years. In July 2019, Peter Boykin gave a speech at the “Demand Free Speech” rally of the far-right organisation Proud Boys. He asked the crowd if they would be willing to “lay down their digital lives” to fight for freedom.
