EuroGames and an international human rights conference will be held in Copenhagen and Malmö, Sweden, at the same time as WorldPride next August.
Under the title START, the organisers of Copenhagen 2021 have released a video in which members of the LGBTIQ* community from Copenhagen and Malmö give a foretaste of what to expect at the event, which will take place from 12 to 22 August 2021.
Different scenarios planned
A statement from the organisers says: “We’ve all had a tough few months, but together with the LGBTI+ communities in Copenhagen and Malmö, we look forward to Copenhagen 2021, where WorldPride and EuroGames will meet for the first time. Of course we are following the impact of COVID-19 very closely and are planning for different scenarios. The registration fees for the EuroGames and for the Human Rights Conference will be fully refunded if we have to cancel”.
Despite the current situation, the organisers encourage all athletes and visitors of Copenhagen 2021 to make a note of the date and sign up for the monthly newsletter to stay informed about the latest developments.
