Valletta

Malta not only offers 7,000 years of history, an Italian-Arab-British mix of cultures and a correspondingly exciting cuisine, but also noticeable progress in equal rights for gays and lesbians. Parliament had recently adopted reforms at record speed: Two years ago marriage was opened so that homosexual and heterosexual couples are completely equal beofre the law since then. This includes adoption law. Due to this development the non-governmental organisation ILGA has ranked Malta among the top 49 European countries.

All the better that the Malta Tourist Office together with Air Malta and the five-star Hotel Hilton Malta are giving away a trip for two to the Mediterranean island. The prize comprises return flights, airport transfers and four nights in a luxury hotel including breakfast. All information is available online, the deadline for entries is 30th September 2016.

The stay to win gives you sufficient time not only to explore Malta’s beautiful capital Valletta, which will be the European Capital of Culture in 2018, but also to get to know the small neighbouring islands of Gozo and Comino or to refresh your own water sports skills.

With the link to the raffle, the Tourist Office also offers a download of the new LGBT guide. You can find more information about gay life in Malta in the Spartacus Guide in the print version or in the app.
