Kyoto » Ryokan Yoshida Sanso
Yoshida-sanso was originally built by master craftsmen to serve as the second residence of Prince Higashi-Fushimi, the uncle of the current Japanese emperor, Akihito. An elegant blend of East and West, the architecture reflects the refined and sophisticated taste embraced by forward-looking members of the Imperial Family during the early Showa era. Since 1948 it converted into Ryokan Yoshida-sanso. Children under 13 not permitted.
