It is hardly surprising that the country's saunas are all in Quito. The men in Ecuador are friendly but reserved. In the sauna it is not uncommon to see the men in bathing wear or boxer shorts. This does not mean however, that every sauna visitor must do the same. A towel around the waist is equally acceptable.
